Measuring Guide

Measuring your room is relatively simple and all you need is a tape measure.

Firstly, find the longest and widest parts of your room and measure. Make sure you measure into any alcoves and doorways and not forgetting any kickbacks in your room. Measure accurately to the nearest inch or cm, we will allow additional carpet on your sizes. Bring these sizes to us, and we will be able to give you a price for your carpet. If you room is an unusual shape, draw a birds eye view of your room and provide as many sizes as you can for us,as that will help us understand how much carpet you need.

Measuring a hallway stairs and landing is a little more complicated, but it is not as difficult as you may think. The most important size is your hallway and landing. Like when measuring rooms, we will need the longest and widest measurements of your landing. The easiest way for us to work out how much carpetyou will need for your stairs and landing, is to draw a birds eye (top down) view of the stairs and landing and provide measurements for all of your walls andthe overall length and width of your landing. We will need to know the width of your steps and how many you have. Also its important for us to know if the stepscurve (winders) and the width of those. Finally, sometimes your bottom step will be wider than the other steps, we will need to know the width of this step, andhow far around it goes.

If in doubt, ask us to measure for you, its a free service and means you won't be caught short.
